町会とは
What is the Neighborhood Association

町会は、地域に住む人たちが協力して、より安全で住みやすいまちをつくるための住民の集まりです。
防災活動や地域の安全活動、交流イベントなどを行っています。

町会への参加は自由ですが、
この地域では多くの住民が町会活動に参加しています。

The Neighborhood Association is a group of local residents who work together to support their community.
It helps make the neighborhood safer, more comfortable, and better connected through activities such as disaster preparedness, safety efforts, and local events.

Membership in the Neighborhood Association is voluntary,
but in this area many residents take part in its activities.

町会費の多くは、災害時の備蓄品のために使われています。

組織について
Organization

町会は「部（district）」と「組（group）」に分かれています。
それぞれに代表がいて、地域の活動を支えています。

町会では、地域での暮らしを支えるために、
さまざまな活動を行っています。

【地域 / Community】

①入学式、卒業式、運動会などの学校行事に協力しています。
We support school events such as entrance ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, and sports days.

②ラジオ体操や盲学校の活動協力など、町会が中心となって行っています。
We organize activities such as morning radio exercises and support activities for schools for blind students.

③高齢者への長寿のお祝い、小学校新入生へのお祝いなどを行っています。
We celebrate milestones such as longevity for elderly residents and entrance to elementary school for new students.

【防犯・防災 / Crime Prevention and Disaster Preparedness】

①地域の安全を守るため、防犯・防災活動を行っています。
We carry out crime prevention and disaster preparedness activities to help ensure community safety.

②社会福祉協議会や日本赤十字社の募金などに協力しています。
We cooperate with fundraising activities for organizations such as the Social Welfare Council and the Japanese Red Cross Society.

③大地震などの災害に備えて防災訓練を行っています。
We conduct disaster drills to prepare for major earthquakes and other emergencies.

④春、秋の全国交通安全運動に協力し、登校児童等の安全指導を行っています。
We support national traffic safety campaigns in spring and autumn, and help guide children on their way to school to ensure their safety.

委員会について / About the Committees

町会には、地域のさまざまな活動を担当する委員会があります。
それぞれの委員会が役割を分担し、協力しながら安全で住みやすいまちづくりを行っています。
